...My mother's name is Judy.... A long time ago when my parents first got married, they took a trip to Scotland to visit all of my father's family. I imagine he was showing off his trophy Canadian wife. My parents were walking down the street one day and every single person who passed would yell out "hey jimmy!" to my father. My mother was surprised that so many people seemed to know my father, as his name is Jim. My mother pointed this fact out to my father. My father, laughing his normal belly laugh, said "no dear, everybody in Scotland says "Hey jimmy!" to all the men, no matter who it is." My mother asked: "well, do they say "Hey Judy!" to all the women then?"
